I love the play between the phallic imagery and the title, which historically has described the female counterpart in copulation. I'm a huge fan of irony and wordplay, so using one to describe the other ranks pretty high in my books. And the spines sort of look like petals to me, suggesting that whatever is stored on top is being presented, akin to a gift of some sort, which ties rather nicely to the wordplay I mentioned above.

All in all, a very striking piece. Great work!
